ORACLE-BONE CHARACTER
The artist studies Chinese characters and their artistic interpretation, notably from a spatial point of view. Playing with the light, the character can also be read through the shadow of its sculpture. This work in designed based on the oracle bone script, or “jiaguwen”, an ancestor of modern Chinese characters engraved on oracle bones.
